Creative Methodology Specialists

LEIS needs creative tutors!!!!
Are you an adult literacy tutor?  Have you ever used creative or non-text methods with your learners?

If so, we would really like to hear from you.

The LEIS project (Literacy and Equality in Irish Society) is in the process of developing a handbook of non-text methodologies that can be used by adult literacy practitioners to support the teaching and learning experience.

We want to connect with tutors who use creative/non-text methods in their work.

Examples of creative and non-text methods include:

  • Art
  • Drama
  • Photography
  • Interactive technology
  • Music
  • Visual Arts (collage, sewing, posters, etc)

Why do we want to hear from you?
We need you to share your practice and experience to help us develop a rich and useful handbook for other tutors who would like to use creative and non-text methods with their learners.

What commitment are we asking you to give?
The time commitment may be an hour-long telephone conversation, a face-to-face interview, and/or writing about your work.

All contributions will be acknowledged in our final report and people who decide to commit to writing will be paid for their time.

What is the deadline for getting in touch with us?
We are working to a tight deadline so we need to hear from you before 31st May 2005.

Who can you contact?
Anybody who would like to be involved in this part of the project is asked to contact Bonnie or Toni to discuss your contribution.
